Unhappy Overtime On A Friday Night

I'm stuck working overtime on a Friday night. On the bright side, I just hit the 12hr mark for the day, so any more time I put in tonight is double time. Will be back in here tomorrow and Sunday (also double time) as well to get this project out on time. Oh well. At least I'm makin' the $$!

How much OT, if any, does everyone else put in on an average week? And do you get paid for it?

Ok well, I quit working last year to go to school full time, and granted I worked for myself(which technically meant no OT), but I averaged for about the year and a half before I left about 66 hours a week. Sometimes it would go up to 90 if someone that I worked with was out of town.

I imagine when I get done with school that I'll be on salary and expected to work between 45-50 hours a week, and that on average I'll probably put in an additional 10 per week at home in the evenings.

I am working tomorrow half day. Get paid straight time OT. All of my OT time is straight time. Better than nothing.

60 hours a week. No OT because I'm salary (professional life's cruel hoax lol).

Thinking about going back to contract status though so I can earn time and a half.

I'm on OT today as well, instead of being out drag racing. It's worth it tho. 24 hours of OT at a time is pretty sweet. Yesterday was also 24hrs of OT.

45 a week. They pay no more, they get no more. Did the long hours for nothing long ago and it doesn't pay especially if you taking from your family

I'm effectively salaried. I wish I could work overtime. I'd take all I could get.

I have a pretty sweet setup at my job. I'm salaried with full benefits, but considered non-exempt from OT, so anything over 40 is 1.5x but if I go over 12hrs in any given day it's 2x and if I put in at least 4 hrs on Saturday (at 1.5x) anything on Sunday is considered 2x.

Anywhere from 56 to 96 hours a week. Mostly 16hours shifts and an average of 72 hours.
...
My "40hours straight coworkers" think I'm crazy, but I'm used to it so..... I mean how else am I going to pay for my Camaro?

After tomorrow, I will have probably 24 hours in on the golf course this week. Of course, that doesn't count the 19th hole time. That would add another 5 or 6 hours. Retirement is tough!
