Gold is $60 a year. Less if you buy it on amazon or in stores when they have a deal. I don't consider $60 a year something to complain about.

not really complaining, but it's kind of messed up, that Netflix is free on ps, wii, phone app, laptops, TV's, etc, other than the normal fee for Netflix, but on top of that, you have to have xbox live to watch it on xbox.

still cheaper than cable I guess. lol i'll probably pay for live yearly anyway. was just sayin.

very true which is why i dont mind it at all. And to make it even better my wife plays on occasion and my brother. So Gold Family for $99 is outstanding. 4 subscriptions for the price of less than two...cant beat that

I can understand that but here's the way I look at it. Xbox dashboard is very well maintained. Xbox live is very reliable. I'm more than happy to pay $60 a year for the experience that I get. Xbox in my opinion offers a better player experience than any other system that is free to use all the other online features. I can't even remember a time when I could not get on Xbox live other than when my ISP was having issues. To me, that is $60 a year well spent.

That is a good deal. I think I paid $40 for my last gold subscription from amazon but I'm only a single account.

I can't stand it when people complain about these online subscriptions. You get what you pay for, and that's why PSN has always sucked.

Enough people complained about having to pay $25 for a shitty plastic headset so now they include said shitty plastic headset.

Thank god. Honestly, If I had to listen to everyone on kinect I wouldn't bother playing anymore. I don't need to hear everyones household and surround sound echoing through my ears.

According to the info though the kinect is advanced enough to pic your voice out of your surroundings so I'm assuming it would cancel everything else out.

Either that or the NSA will filter out all the background noise as it travels through their recorders.

That's marketing bullshit. You can't filter out all noise except one specific persons voice on the fly like that. Sound/technology doesn't work that way.

Now where the hell is the wireless mic?!

A lot of great info here from Xbox team. One of the big pieces of info was that the Xbox does NOT REQUIRE the kinect to be plugged in. For all the paranoid gamers out there. I don't mind it either way personally.
