Hell my POS state of Md is giving away liscenses to Illegals for free, along with harboring them so they have to get Insurance. This place is rediculous.

Are you certain that your deductible for a collision involving an uninsured driver where they're at fault isn't less?

It doesn't help now, but I would see if you could get your insurance deductible down to a more manageable number. You may pay a few more bucks per month, but it's worth it.

Waiting for the call back from the insurance company adjuster to find out their number - but the deductible is $1k. I've looked into lower deductibles but I can swing $1k as long as it doesn't happen in groups! Going from $500 to $1k has about a 3.5 year payback based on a single event, so it's worth it - assuming that you don't have to pay for other peoples screw ups!
