Uninsured drivers.

My mod money for a while is down the drain. Our family has been involved in three accidents since 2000 and all of them were cases where a family member was rear ended - the last being yesterday involving my wife's Flex. The bad part is two out of three times the other driver has been uninsured, including yesterday.

Got a quote of $950 and we have a $1k deductible so we'll eat it. Our insurance company said they would go after the guy but I believe we will never see a dime. Hopefully at least he will get a suspended license for no insurance. I could sue and win but doubt I would ever see a dime that way either.

I really hate uninsured drivers! Especially when they mess with my mod money!!

i've heard as many as a third of drivers on the road are uninsured.
and if they suspend his license he'll just drive anyway.

Officially it is 15% in mandatory car insurance Ca, up to 25% in some areas.
Yes most suspended drivers continue to drive. It's only illegal if you get caught.

Just make sure you are not rear-ended by this.

From what my wife said the truck looked liked that hit her - that is probably a close representation.

Thats why you should protect yourself as if no one has insurance. Even if the guy had insurance his deductable is probably $1000 anyhow. I would sue him for the damages. I hate insurance companies and can understand why people drive without it.
