Weird sound when turning left - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys,

For a few weeks now, I've been noticing this grinding sound when I turn the steering wheel almost all the way to the left when accelerating. It only happens steering to the left, and not to the right. Any ideas of what this may be? I still have another 3,500 km until I need to get it serviced, so I'm just gonna wait until then to get it checked out. But I thought maybe someone has an idea of what it may be.

I wouldn't wait. your warranty explicitly states that damage to a non covered part by a covered part is not covered. so if whatever is wrong cause more damage (like to the tires) you'll be SOL on the non covered item

yeah i wouldnt just wait either go get it checked out.it could be as simple as the tire rubbing the wheel well liner or something more serious

I agree. Take it to the dealer ASAP. Waiting longer could result in more potential damage.
