Adopted a puppy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wub: :wub: :wub:
So I just recently moved out on my own with my girlfriend. I work 7 days a week midnight to 8am. She only works 4 days a week but 10 hours a day. So quite often we are left alone in our apartment watching Netflix waiting for each other to get home. So after 3 weeks of this loneliness I decided to look for a puppy!
I knew I needed a little dog that can stay inside an apartment a lot without getting upset at not going outside. Soooo...me being me....completely ignored that thought  . At first I tried looking into little dogs...but just couldn't do it  . I started looking on petfinder at local rescue shelters and found a little Australian Shepherd pup named Blitzen. Definitely a guy name but she is a she  . Learned about her a bit and here is her story...Blitzen was bred to sell by some dirtbag in Southern Kentucky. She was born 10/23/12. After this person had the 6 puppies and couldn't sell them in the first week he/she dropped them off, with their mother, at a Southern Kentucky kill shelter. After a couple months if the pups aren't adopted they would be euthanized. A no-kill shelter local to me (HART Animal Rescue) found the pups from an employee at the kill shelter sending emails all over pleading for someone to take the pups. 2 Days before all 6 pups and the mother were euthanized HART found the email and accepted all 6 puppies and their mother. So Cari and I decided to go visit Blitzen. We did. Loved her. Left. Emailed the foster parent back a few hours later and told her we want to adopt her. 2 days later went back and signed the contract. As of yesterday she is OURS! Unfortunately, we can't take her until the 11th. She needs the be spayed and get a couple shots. We are just counting down the days and it is not easy :(  As for the rest of the pups and the mother. All the pups have all already been adopted. Blitzen was the last to go. I want to adopt the mother also but I simply don't have the room for her .Australian Shepherds are very active dogs and need lots of space. So I will be taking her to my parents house and the parks quite often. So without further talking.... We have decided to change her name and have decided to name her Chloe!

Congrats man and wow to the story. Glad on getting Chloe!! I want to get a german shepherd but just dont have time for one :(
