I like it because it's ugly and would make mine more collectable. I wouldn't be surprised if Chevy did release this pig because they did it over 40 years ago. The original Camaro was pretty and they almost immediately replaced it with poop on wheels.

Not really. It's a modern interpretation of an older design, similar to the Camaro's design language.
Every retro-themed car is on the way out. PT Cruiser, HHR, Mustang... And 11,417 units for the FR-S in one year isn't that good at all. Hell, GM sold more Volts this year than Toyota sold FR-S's.

If you look Toyota only projected 10000 units for the first year. They are ahead of their target which says a lot for it just being released in June and not available till the later part of July.
