That wire is absolutely crazy, pretty cool that you have it, if they could only tell stories...

Yes, that wire is probably in a class of its own for exclusivity and historical significance

Here's my only German entry: My 1944 Spreewerk P.38. Non force-matched. The only thing really rare about the pistol, despite it being a Soviet Capture so it's a WWII and a Cold War relic, is that it was once fired by an acquaintance of mine that has since passed away. An agent who was on the real "French Connection" case. In his '80s, he picked that thing up without ever having fired it, ten ringed 8 shots at 33 feet,a nd said "Nice gun". I can't hit a barn from the inside of it with the damn thing. Awful trigger. Kreigsmarine map is repro, but a nice background

The sharp-eyed will note it's loaded. But only with a snap-cap.

One of my favorite sports memorabilia. The mirror, not the towel, although the seats for the NFC championship game were REALLY nice (45 yard line, 18 rows back from the field).

It came with my brand new 1974 Vega. I keep papers in it for the Camaro. When I took the Camaro in for an oil change a service mgr at Apple put his business card in a slot in the folder. My brother had worked for Buy Rite Used Cars which was Ammon R Smiths oldies.

That is very cool. I met him a couple times when I was a kid and he seemed like a great guy. He was always very nice to me.

This is the actual rare thing- a copy of "History of US Marine Aviation in WWII" by Robert Sherrod. It's inscribed by Sherrod, who went ashore at Iwo Jima, to General Graves Erskine, a Marine General who was at Iwo Jima. This was General Erskine's book. I've used my 1919 Springfield manufactured Model of 1905 bayonet to hold it open

I have an M1 rifle, 1944, an M1 carbine, 1943, and I made a 1903A4 from a sporterized Remington 1903A3. All sorta middle of the road 'rare', I suppose

I also have a 1918 Production Colt-made Model of 1911. Somebody decades ago put a target sight on the front; it's pretty accurate. All original parts except later production 1918 barrel and front sight. I'd love to know it's full history. It went to Springfield Armory in 1918 to be inventoried, that's all I know

I also collect WWI-WWII era militaria, all US. Here's a portion. This is cool- gas ration card of my Grandfathers, dated 12 August 1944. I was born 12 August 1971. Weird, the card was kept for some reason and just happened to have my birthday. The pocketknife, sharpening stone, and ship-builder's badge were all his

edit-

I forgot, in Massachusetts, this is rare- an M1A1 that I bought legally. It was registered and legally owned here before the ban!

What the heck, here's my 1944 M1 rifle

...and my 1903A4gery. Stock is USGI, not aftermarket
HOLY SH!T!!! A real paratrooper and original 1911. Amazing collection. My dads been looking at the troopers but they are so damn expensive. He found a original stock, he is going to do a replica. Awesome A4 btw, is it a original stock? Or replacement?

Well, don't be too impressed with the M1A1 and the 1903A4, lol. I'm not out to fool anybody

The book is really the star of my collection and the 'wow' item

The M1A1 paratrooper carbine is an Inland, like the originals, and it is in the right s/n block to be 'second run'. But no records of exact s/ns were kept, because they are identical to standard M1 carbines except for the stock. So you can't say for example s/ns 300,000 to 305,000 were all M1A1s. nobody (so far) has found a record of which ones were made into M1A1s. That's why the prices are so high- the "real" ones all have very good documents that back them up. I have no such docs, it's a repro stock. What makes it rare is that in Massachusetts, you can't buy the folding stock. Plus it's has a pistol grip AND a bayonet lug. Big no-nos. Mine's legal because it was here before the ban and could be transferred. It's cool but with that stock it's a losuy shooter. I have a nice M2 carbine stock that makes it a great shooter

The 1903A4 is a forgery; can't afford the real thing, and if I could I wouldn't fire it much. Nuts to that. A fairly good fake but if you know 03A4s you can spot it as a fake in about .001 second! I built it from a 1943 Remington 03A3 that had been sporterized, so it was sort of a reclamation project

The stock is an original USGI stock. I know this because it has the "K" stamped in the cut-off well, plus the person that gave it to me is my Father. he had it in storage since 1962. At the time, there were no repro stocks- no need, you could get surplus stocks cheap. He bought three C- stocks total, out of a barrel of stocks that being one of them. One's on his Smith-Corona 1903A3. That rifle is rare, it's a 6-groove Savage barreled S-C 03A3. All three stocks cost him 15 bucks all together!

I'm not at home to post a pic but...
1917 manufactured Colt govt 1911 that appears all original. No armory marks on parts.

Appears to be a take-home from WW1, no finish left but a fantastic find
