Phone Query.

Anybody know of a good keyboard based smart phone? (I said good so that eliminates BBs) I am so tired of these useless touchscreens that force you to stare at the screen to do menial tasks. How have people though of this as an improvement? The multitasking factor of these things is nil. I would say about 20% of my daily stress is now caused by constantly having to retype and backspace and retype the same messages because of these god awful pieces of equipment that cannot seem to function properly.

Please help. Lol.

Blackberry

I know T-Mobile had the newer version of the Sidekick, but not sure if still available. Check out gsmarena, they have a search portion that can help you narrow down some phones:

My wife got an LG touch screen phone a couple of years ago and while out of town the corner of the screen went out and made the phone unuseable. Very inconvenient and we both went to get Blackberry Torches. Loved them.

I have the Droid 2 - there are similar form factors like that that use Android.

I've always been a big fan of the slide out keyboard on this type of phone.

I guess it's now the Droid 4...

I don't like the Blackberry, because the keyboard takes up 1/2 of the space for the screen, so you end up with a postage stamp for a screen.

The Torch does not, it slides out- can be used touch screen or keyboard. I too didnt like the keyboard on half the phone on a few models and went with the Torch.

I have a Droid 4 (by Motorola) that I bought earlier this year, because it has a physical keyboard (it also has a virtual keyboard). I would suggest looking into one to see if you like it.
