If you are posting on the forums you are not working out and wasting your time at the gym...

Leave the phone at home
Don't chew gum
Don't wear flip flops/slippas
Ignore the women
Learn true form
You don't need to grunt
BREATHE
Don't embarrass yourself

I haven't lifted weights in nearly a year. I am starting to miss it. Now I workout at home, push-ups, flutter kicks, pull-ups, and ab roller. Occasionally work the heavy bag too.
I need to find a lifting partner again to get going again.

I would i would say I'm a gym rat, I work out in the army first thing in the morning, then hit the weights during lunch. Then either do insanity in the evening or weights and cardio in the evening. Sooooo yes I'm addicted...

chewing gum is problem to help actually... as it's something in between your teeth. When you are getting that heavy weight and pushing it, your whole body will be tense, and when you tense up like that most people tend to crush their teeth like it's fun, so chewing gum helps keep your teeth safe.
It also helps a lot of people to remember to breath.
Don't ever tell someone not to embarrass themselves as they think of going bigger and they stop thinking about form...

I'm there every day, have been basically for the last 2 years. I was pretty addicted when I first started I went at 6am christmas morning since its a 24 hour gym I lift at lol. I got hurt at work and had to take some time off but im back to the gym every single day.

I have the record at my gym for the leg press on the sled, I pushed 1650lbs one time and I weighed about 205 at the time. We do a charity every year for the special Olympics all of the gym's in the surrounding area meet up and we do like a semi pull and strong man competition as a team its pretty fun stuff we took first this year and second last year.

Everyone that I lift with is pretty much like a second family at the gym, lots of good times.
