I have always heard there are only two kinds of husbands, those that are whipped, and those that lie about it.

I wouldn't mind being whipped if my captors allowed me to buy a Porsche.

I don't think there's any real comparison to the Camaro. You're going to love the Porsche, even if it's a SUV. The reviews speak for themselves...it's a heralded platform...you're gonna grow to love it! It's many many levels above the Camaro in terms of refinement and comfort.

The other thing, which you might enjoy...I'm sure there is no bickering on the Porsche forums about the S-models and non S-models, nobody on there is using a magic marker to dye their seat stitching or plasti-dipping interior parts, and there might only be 1-2 "kids" under 21 who got a new Cayenne to drive to high school, versus ten zillion young adults here on the Camaro forums that think their first car should cost $30k. Then again, you might be roped into discussions on there about global markets, the very best red wines, sabbaticals, and the very best elite vacationing spots...

That's why I've got my wife's old 2005 Pontiac Vibe for DD purposes. Rather DD something in expensive that is plenty good for all duties than to rid of my Camaro for a high end Car that does the same thing as a cheaper Domestic or import.

I am still a big fan of Detroit iron, my wife drives a 2012 GMC Yukon XL!!!
I have loved every minute of my experience with the Camaro.
Tons of power.
Great styling. Turning heads everywhere I went!
Great GM quality.
I will miss being part of the Camaro family and will be jealous every time I see one on the road.
I hope I am making a good decision?!?!
Porsche suv,

I live in Detroit so I'm sure I'll take some grief from friends for buying a foreign car. I still have the Yukon. My last 16 cars have been GM's and one Jeep. No other car company makes a SUV like the cayenne.

I know a guy that traded a Z06 for a Mercedes SUV, everything was fine until someone said he looked like a Soccer Mom driving it. The next week he traded it for a Mercedes C-63AMG.

too many guys over the many years have been made to give up their treasured cars because the spouse just doesn't get it ...........
well i'm a female and i get it .............
she's not the boss ... that's just a saying
you should at least let her know that you will be regretting this decision ... i've seen it so many times ... years down the road ... the guy is still upset over having to give up his car for "the wife and kids"

think twice ... three times ... many times before you do this ...
there are other ways to handle a decision like this
and you've had a lot of input by some very nice people above ...

just my more than two cents worth .............

(and sorry, the porsche suv is just a big VW ... doesn't compare)

I mentioned it to my future wife.. "the camaro is staying and any other sports car I get, you will keep the baby car" she said fine, then pointed at the Porsche Panamera and GTR and said babies fit back there . Lol

You would think driving a Porsche is somehow a bad thing? Sheesh. I wish I could have kept every car I've ever owned but different times, different needs, require different solutions.
