We don't plan on having more than two kids. If things change, we can always upgrade her car.

put down the estrogen pills and keep the CAR!

all kidding aside, if you already have a Yukon XL, why do you need another family car? Since it costs me about $700-800 a month to drive (car payment, insurance, gas) and i am only 19 with a not so high-end job, i still live at home. i have my camaro, my dad has his mustang, and my mom has her Yukon XL. whenever the whole family goes somewhere, often with a friend or two, we take the Yukon. it seats 7 people. it would have 8 seats, but somehow, it has the pilot seats in the middle row like the denali does, but without the 6.2L denali engine or the inflated denali price.

my car and my dad's car are mainly used for, well, me and my dad, often with one other person in the car, whether it be family or friend. my mom sometimes drives my dad's car whenever she gets bored of driving the "tank" around.
my point is, whenever there are more than 2, 3 at most, riding at the same time, the Yukon is the vehicle that gets used. there is not even a hint of a need for my dad to trade in his car for another SUV, and my family is by no means small.

my car is mine, only driven by me, and it'll be a cold day in hell when i trade it for something with more than 2 doors. then again, i have no plans to start a family any time soon

to each his own i guess, but WHY?!?!

A Camaro owner in snowy Michigan must also have a winter car. Camaros and Corvettes don't go anywhere in the snow. For the past 14 years I've had to have two cars, one for each season.
My wife thought it would be a good idea to trade in my Jeep 4 door Wrangler and the Camaro. I realize I could buy a ZL1 AND an SUV for the price of the Cayenne but she just wants me to have one vehicle. What do I do, she's the boss!

BTW, a while back, I paid a guy on the forum $175 for the wiring harness that leaves the halos on all of the time. I never installed it and won't need it now so I'll get rid of it very cheap!

You coulda bought a GC SRT8 and still have $$ left over to keep the Camaro. Either way, I hope you like it.

are these 2 kids going to have legs? I had a focus and my 4 month old daughter's carseat barely fit in that.

I've had full grown adults in the back of the car, and they fit just fine.

again, lol. you do realize the fiesta is clasified as either a sub-compact or super-mini? your camaro most likely has more room in it.

if you every plan on taking the whole family on a trip in it, make sure you pack light. and pray you have girls instead of boys. and for the record, I'm not saying you should dump the camaro. I just wouldn't figure on making a fiesta into a suitable family car. I'd definitely figure on replacing that if you want to keep a camaro.

Hmm did you mean have boys instead of girls? Girls take everything they own everywhere. While boys carry their stuff in their pockets, girls need to carry pocketbooks!

4 doors, and a decent amount of room in the hatch. I don't see what your issue is with me calling it a family car. I'm 2 yrs from even having kids, and by the time they are old enough to really take up much room, or need the space for hockey gear, I'll likely have a truck.

Would you feel better if I classified it as our practical car? Or are you going to come back at me with more semantics?

Wolverine1:

I WISH I had a reason not to keep my Camaro (meaning I had a family like you do). A man who puts his family before a car is just that...A MAN! Not knocking anyone who has a family and a special car, but I think what you are doing is just fine.

I wish I could find a lady to share my life with...I hope it happens someday...but until then, all I have is my Camaro. I'd give anything to give up the car because it didn't fit in my family profile. Good for you!
