Tired of hearing 5.0 all over this Forum
I haven't been a member of this forum very long, but does anyone else find it annoying to have "5.0" owners bashing our cars, I guess we could go around saying that we drive a "6.2", I don't understand why ford is so proud of an engine that produces less torque, the mustang is just lighter plain and simple this is why it can even stay with the ss. STOCK for STOCK

I don't pay it any mind. 5.0 is a fan boy engine. Nothing as special as people try to make it to be. Only took Ford 10 years to better the tired 4.6 they used between 2001-2010.

I've beat all the 5.0's stock for stock I've come across.. benefits of an auto even with 20 less hp.

First of all, who cares? Secondly, you have to respect the competition. For what it's worth, the 5.0 is a sick car. I don't see why that bothers you though. There's always going to be someone quicker out there.

Funny thing is, the original '5.0' is actually a 4.9 (4942cc).

The 5.0 is the best platform verses all others is a never ending story of who builds the mightest popular powerplant. Reminds me of the TV show that I stumbled across last night................the feature guest held the title of having the worlds largest scrotum...........weighing in at a unbelievable useless 200 lbs, he hadn't seen his tiny yanker in years................... Ironic.

the 5.0 was released as a namesake in my opinion... in order to boost the mustang sales over the Camaro. Ford thought that they could appeal to all the oldschool 5.0 nutswingers out there as well as the younger crowd. I believe they were right. Mustang sales have went up.

I test drove a 2013 5.0 I will admit its quick, but as soon as I drove my new 1SS it was a better buy in my opinion..... BESIDES YOU CANT COMPARE THE LOOK OF OUR CARS STOCK OR MODDED....

I personally dont get all the Mustang & 5.0 bashing, if it wasnt for the Mustang there would be no Camaro and no current pony car/muscle car wars, the Mustang and Camaro are both GREAT American Muscle Cars. Lighten up a little!

I don't like the Mustang at all... but you have to give it up for the 5.0. Pushing almost the same horsepower that our 6.2 does. IMO, that goes to show how much more they could have gotten out of the LS3. 1.2L more... think about how much that really is for a car.
