Thanks GTAHVIT! Just got off the phone with one of my buddies, retired Chief. My let tour was in a Navy command. Much respect to the Navy. It's a great feeling, and I'm excited about moving forward.

You're welcome SWAT! I really enjoyed it. Served as long as I felt I could make a difference. Now, off to the "real" world, I've been told.

PonyKiller, I almost got out at 11 years. Glad I didn't, as it'll pay off in the long run more. Take advantage of the time, and enjoy!

Congratulations on your retirement. Staying on the coast or moving back to the midwest?

Words cannot describe the appreciation I have for you and the other military members we have on this forum. Thanks for keeping my family safe!

Thank you dkp2LT! I'm staying in SoCal. My wife has a pretty good business here, and I found a job already. At some point we've discussed moving, but it won't be right away, or back to KC. We own some properties there, but I'm not too good with winters anymore. LoL. I appreciate your well wishes!

Congratulations on retirement! Thanks for your years of service to the nation. You Marines and the Army grunts that spend a career in the mud and bugs have my deepest respect. As an Air Force fly-guy, I have come to realize how spoiled my life was. Don't think I would have made it beyond the 10-year point in any other branch of service. Again, my profound respect; congratulations and Semper Fidelis!

Thanks you, and thanks for your service. Your daughter must be one smart young lady to get into the nuke program. Congrats to her. It's wide open for women in that field. Great opportunities.

Thank you! Enjoy your time serving. Still hasn't fully hit me. I grew up on the south side of the inner city. By Swope Park, and Twightlight Theater.
