Sneezing like crazy...not playful..and yesterday afternoon..he was keeping his mouth open as the little poor thing was trying to breath..:(

At the VET. She gave him a check up and said he might have bronchitis...maybe Pneumonia. And if it were Pneumonia..NO GOOD! :(
Also asked if he ever had a blood test for Leukemia. Now...that one is BAD as well..If he had that...then I would be back where I was months ago..the end result anyways. :(

So..X rays were taken..blood was tested.

1...No pneumonia (Phhewww! )
2...But he has Bronchitis
3...NO leukemia ( Double pheww)
4..he had fever.

*******************************************
Got 2 shots at the Vet.

1...an antibiotic to open up the lungs
2...one to reduce the fever quickly

Home:
~ antibiotics = am/pm 18 days
~ eye drops=am/pm 15 days
~ oral paste for L-lysine ( treatment to reduce viral infection) 30 days
~ anti-inflammatory 1x days for 5 days.

...and last night..about 1 hour after we got home..we could see he was feeling so much better....although he still does sneeze..it's not like I was before...and he eats and sleeps a lot now..resting.

Was an emotional night.
I hope he gets better soon!

Hey Jo! My cat Jasper has Feline Luek and they didn't know till he was about a year old. As long as they stay inside and are not exposed to germs or other cats that haven't been vacinated they can live a very long life. Jasper is now 3. I had a cat with Feline Luek that lived to be 21!! Vets always try to scare you into thinking if they have it they are gonners. Not true. But I'm glad that he doesn't have any of that! That is a good sign!

Kitty's get colds, Jasper has had one, and when I had my sisters cat Apollo he had a bad one. The meds should help and he will be right as rain! Just show him lots of love and it will all be good soon!
