Noe the fun part, FULL ABL lmao
I never cease to be amazed at how Camaro5 members seem to put such a massive emphasis on steering wheels. I'd think it was funny if it didn't seem so serious to people. Lets be honest though ...

Its.
A.
Steering.
Wheel.

Whats the big deal with how it looks: good or bad, shared or unique? I just don't understand. To me, I'm much more concerned with the ergonomics of the wheel, what sort of controls are mounted on it, whats the grip like, how is the rim shaped, and so on. I really don't care how it looks. I mean, the steering wheel is the one thing that your hands (should) be on the entire time you're driving. And one of the things you probably shouldn't be looking at while driving. So I kinda care a bit more about what my hands tell me about the wheel than my eyes.

I like the stering wheel, it looks to be styled after a ercedes wheel. It seems to fit the luxury mission of the Impala vs a sporty mission. that said I am utterly disheartened that GM said AWD will not be offered on it.

First thought when I saw it was cheap knock off of an already hideous mercedes steering wheel.

I only wanted AWD for an Impala SS to be honest.

Ah, I was hoping for an AWD version to by a used one in a few years They say it is to make it unique from the Lacrosse and XTS, but styling and attitudewise these are 3 very different cars in their designs. Also the major competitors in the taurus and and Charger both offer it. Yes, it may not sell a whole bunch, but considering it would be basically an easy swap from it's siblings and would no doubt sell enough to be worth it, you would think it would be a no-brainer. This infuriates me about GM. THey design some things so right, but when it comes down to it they miss just enough to make you smack your head and say DOH!

I think I have come to the realization that I hate literally 99% of steering wheels
I do like the aftermarket one in my fiero, which looks a lot like my trans am's steering wheel.

Its bland-tastic, and seems to be about a decade old design (I know its not from one of the original Saturns). I'm gunna say its from an ... Ion?

You are correct.

I like the steering on those though, it's very light.
