I would build my ultimate garage, every tool you could imagine, hoists, dyno, alignment rack, full machine shop. Then when people pulled in to get serviced, I would give them an appointment for some time 17 years in the future.

If I won that much, I just don't know what I'd do. I know I'd have a damn personal jet.

Gulfstream G550 to be precise.

I'm not sure that's the greatest idea. Spend $50M on a jet, and then how much fuel do you have to pay for every time you want to go somewhere?

Personal jets are for the uber rich who are making tons and tons of money every year.

Also just wondering, but why does everyone want to build a garage with all sorts of equipment? If you had that much money why not just hire the best of the best mechanics to work on your cars for you? I realize everyone here are car guys, but I think I'd rather be driving one of my several cars than working on them all the time. I'll let someone else spare the blood and sweat and have fun driving!

I bought 5. If I win I would buy a huge piece of land and build a no kill animal shelter, give my family some, then sell my car and order a ZL1 and a buy a couple more cars and buy a huge house in Newport Coast. If only...

I love being in on things of mine. I build whatever I can! Its very rewarding to have something that you put your blood and sweat into work and play with.

I'd give my Camaro to my best friend and go buy the ZL1 and then I'd move where it's warm all the time. Hubby bought a few tickets for us today - I guess he'd end up with the Mustang of his dreams and a new Harley.

I bought 10 tickets in MO, 10 in OK, and I'll buy 10 in Texas when I drive home tomorrow.

My immediate to buy list:
Land 100+ acres of land within 100 miles of Houston.
8~ 50'x100' metal buildings and a nice house on that land.
1 of each of my favorite generations of Camaro and Mustang for collection #1

LOL, I would love to say that on LIVE tv. My wife would probably kick my ass or just take half the money

I was expecting some grand gesture being like, "If I won The LOTTO and $500 Million ... I would buy everyone on this site a ZL1." SO instead of being all like nor I'm more like .

They are honest about the winnings. Its just that the government takes a certain percentage of your winnings by April 15 of the following year. They couldn't entirely projected how much the winnings were because (a) people live in different states with different income tax laws (b) if you take the payments rather than the lump sum, they would have to know the federal inc. tax rate for the next 26 years (looking back at the past 28 years, its varied between 25% and 50%). Therefore, I appreciate them telling me the base number and not make me figure out what assumptions they had put into it.

Could I have $50.00?
