The only real problem I have had with this is, a motorcycle tried to pace me in my rightside blind spot last year on the way to Mt St Helens. It was a real pain to get rid of him without running over him. Everytime I tried to slow down he would match me. Finally I just downshifted and braked hard forcing him to fly by. Really was annoying.

Years ago I was driving on the highway outside of Las Vegas, just cruising along, when I looked in my rear view mirror and all I could see was a Ford truck grille and brush guard (he was that close at freeway speed!)

After a few seconds wondering "what the hell?", I did a tap the brakes brake check.

The truck behind me locked up his brakes and skidded around 2 lanes for a second ...

That's when I saw it was a Highway Patrol Bronco! I thought I was dead meat for checking him but he just passed me and wouldn't look at me when he did

Meh, if I get pulled over by an officer for brake checking them I'd just immediately demand their badge number and inform them that I'd be filing a complaint for their dangerous driving practices.

I've written about this before, but I did have two undercover cops tailgate me for quite a ways, and I slowed down, sped up...eventually slowed down to about 15-20 in a 30, and they passed. I flipped them off. That's when I found out they were cops.

Though I got taken to jail, the upshot of it was that they got suspended for a month because of their behavior. They told the people looking into this that they were tailgating because I was missing a gas cap.

I got trapped once by undercovers. They paced next to me and kept staring giving me dirty looks so I rolled down to the window and asked them wtf they wanted and that was my ass. Illegally pulled me out of the car and searched me. They thought because I was a young minority in a niceish car (for my age) that I was a drug dealer. Searched my entire car illegally and of course didnt find anything so they let me go.

Didnt bother filing any complaint as it was just me with no witnesses in NYC.

Works like a charm. I will even drop down to like 5 mph on a 70mph freeway if i have to.
Then you could be the one getting the ticket. In PA they are going to pull over people doing less the speed limit. While working the other night and driving the company van the speed limit was 65 mph and I came upon a car doing less than 50 mph. I finally got to pass, and lo and behold I looked back to see flashing red and blue. That car got pulled over.

As long as the you maintain the minimum speed limit on the highway you wont get pulled over here unless your creating a hazardous situation. I just keep a cup holder full of pennies and open my sunroof =D

well ya might get away with that in BC.....but in Texas you would just be asking to be SHOT. considering they are already acting the A$$.....then ya start throwing stuff at their car/truck? ya right......like I said....you would either get shot or at least get chased down to where ever you were headed.
