[QUOTE=Slowhawk;4446414]You need 30% bigger injector's and a bigger fuel pump to run it. QUOTE]

I don't think that getting a bigger fuel pump is an option... the engine is direct-injected and has a high-pressure pump. They were running into fuel problems when trying to up the boost on the turbo builds, but I haven't heard of any problems with the E-85 tunes.

After reading the E-85 thread again... I'll at least wait for the warmer weather before I try out the E-85... I guess there is an issue on the cold starts during winter unless you have a "winter" tune. I've gotta go check out that station though...

You will lose power and MPG,PLus long term DAMAGE to your car. The E85 is not compatable with your fuel system. The E85 eats away at rubber seals on any connection.

Doesn't GM say with the direct injection that the e85 MPG decrease is in the 10% range, for LFX in other GM cars, versus the typical 25% in other e85 builds?

Here in MN we have a lot of e85 stations / production. Regular the other day was $3.62, and e85 was $3.09, a decent spread in price considering the difference in MPG I'd expect. It sounds like the 2012 should be able to run it, I'm at 300mi on my car, just filled the tank for first time since buying it last week with a tank of 89 (here 87 = 89 in price).

Maybe next tank I'll do e85????

I wouldn't run it without the Trifecta tune... and now Vince is working on a NEW 93 octane tune so I think I'll stay away from the E85 for now.

Well given I'm moving to FL in a few months, and there is one e85 station in all of Jacksonville (not even close to where I'm moving in Ponte Vedra) prob a waste of money to buy the tune for 4 more months!
