It will come down to design as the deciding factor and as we all know GM design is better for the most part than Fords. Find me a Ford car that is more appealing to the public than a 1960's Corvette Stingray? Sorry there arent any.
Where do you get the idea that the next gen mustang and camaro will weigh, "very identically?" Is that just made up? How do you know what the interior of the 2014 mustang is going to look like in relation to the camaro? Are you assuming that GM is going to upgrade their interiors, but Ford is just going to decide to skip out on it this time around? As far as finding a car more appealing to the public than a 60s stingray, well I'd like to see how you came to the conclusion that the 60s vettes are more appealing to the general public than anything else, but as far as iconic American cars go, you're going to have a tough go at proving there is any car at all that's more of an American icon than the Mustang and I think most level-headed Camaro fans would agree.

I think most people would prefer this than a 1960s Corvette Stingray:

You know it's tiring discussing with you because you're so biased.

LOL You guys are too easy to guess what you will say next- I knew that the 13 Fusion would come up in all this. Yeah the new Fusion looks good BUT I also happen to think the new Malibu doesnt look too bad either they both cater to different tastes and we all know what happened when Ford redesigned the Taurus it didnt sell well we will see about the Fusion. I think the Cruze looks better than the Focus I just dont like the ugly shiny grills on the fronts of Focus's. Trucks I have seen great looking Ford & Silverado trucks so I say its a matter of taste and brand preference there. What I was compairing was sports car designs throughout the years.

Sorry the Corvette is waaaay more an Icon than the Mustang. The Vette has been around since 1953 the Mustang didnt come around until 1964 just saying.

Yes because unlike economy car and truck designs, sports car designs are not subjective . Meanwhile in reality, the Mustang outsold the camaro for multiple decades in a row. Now that the fifth gen is outselling the mustang, all of a sudden Ford has never built a more appealing car.

The model-t was built in 1908. Advantage model-t.

The '64 Mustang ushered in an entire new era of automotive design.

Sorry but the Ford GT doesnt look as good. I knew that would be the only come back against a Stingray. You can ask almost ANYBODY in the auto industry and they all say that the Stingray from the 60's still looks as good today as ever and that the design of the car never gets old or boring to look at. The old Ford GT's were never built to be sold to the public and the newer one was a sales failure of epic proportions which is why only 400 were built.

LOL!!!!!!! Is that why all 4,000(you missed a zero champ) were sold almost immediately and they now go for 5 times their original MSRP? It's funny how your own opinions are facts, with no support, but other opinions are simply wrong. Fanboy redefined.

Seriously dude... this is embarrassing. All that video "proves" is that chicks and black dudes like Camaros.

I'm kidding. With such a statistically small sample space, that proves nothing. Normally I would think someone would be joking by posting this video to "prove" their point, but it's you.

I can find videos of auto experts in the industry saying the 60's Stingray is the best car design they have ever seen. Peter Delorenzo has said it multiple times on Autoline After Hours that to his eyes it is still the best design ever. Sorry but I have never heard someone compair a Ford GT in that same way just saying.

You continue to talk about technology but you are ignoring the lack of technology in the camaro or talking about something that is not on the camaro yet.

Perhaps you havent see this video?

Or maybe you have and ignored it, just had to sign up because of all the stuff I've read on here.
You have to be in the top 10 of the most blindingly bios people on this entire forum, which continues to givre this forum a bad name amongst even other GM based forums.
