Practice practice practice it is all about practice.

I said it before it is worth repeating. While practicing throw at the spare pin first. Practice the 10 pin on the right land and the 7 pin on the left lane. Then the next game work the 6 pin on the left lane and the 4 pin on the right lane.

Then throw your strike ball second. This will give you a chance at practicing those important spares, concistantly.

Good Luck

Thanks bud.....I am definately improving over the past 4 months of bowling.

Im still trying to figure out my best approach....so far ive been straight bowling this season but my buddies told me i have a backwards spin...but was doing good 150s-180s.....in practice last night i was doing horrible only up until the 6th frame, never closed 1 single frame untill i went back to spinning the ball right to left, no strikes but they all left fantasic spares which i picked up.....so i have no F-ing Clue (other then drink)

YOu dont' want to throw a back-up ball. That's for the ladies.

But as long as you're enjoying yourself you can relax and get better on yo9ur bodies time.

Learn to hook the bowl from right to left. It is all in your arm and wrist position.

I watched some YouTube vids once.

I did watch a few years ago, freind of mine Todd Book made it on ESPN. But that's the only time I watched.
