You didn't ask for Chevy's "first" compact concept car in your original question.

Capitalizing FIRST...
...makes me nervous...

But I'm going with....

1950

First made in 1950, the Powerglide is a 2 speed automatic transmission that was first used in Chevrolet cars of the day and had become a staple drag racing transmission among enthusiast straight liners. The Powerglide is simple and strong, which explains why drag racers like it so much. Around 1960, GM began making aluminum Powerglides. They were first introduced in cast iron. Powerglides were usually put behind small-block Chevrolet V8s and inline six cylinder engines. By the late 1960s buyers were demanding three-speed transmissions.

Correct. The Cadillac V8-6-4. One of the worst engines ever built.

The aluminum powerglide trans case came out in 1962.

Q: What year was the PCV valve added to the Chevrolet engines ?

I'll bite. Not sure, but 1964? I do know that it replaced the down tube off the back of the block

1968 brought some changes too

I'll take a shot...

GM offered the PCV solution to the entire U.S. automobile industry, royalty free, through its trade association, The Automobile Manufacturers Association (AMA).In the absence of any legislated requirement, the AMA members agreed to put it on all California cars voluntarily in 1961, with national application following one year later, in 1962.

This is a "gimme" for you, Becky, but I'll ask it, anyway, although the answer is on here in a different context...

What is the OLDEST, currently used, Chevrolet Model name?

When was it intro'd?

Technical terminology for the "down tube off the back of the block" is road draft tube.

At 0:45 in this '69 Caprice commercial, "liquid tire chain" is featured.
This option was also available on the '69 Camaro. How many '69 Camaros were ordered with this option? What was the RPO?
