Thank you Camaro5.com

I have been a member here on Camaro5 for over two years now. I enjoy reading the threads and participating in the discussions. I have met a lot of wonderful people and feel like a welcome member of this community. I look forward to coming here every day to see what's new with my Camaro friends and their cars.

Recently, I joined a local auto-racing forum. I read their rules and posted a new thread to introduce myself. I thought this was going to be fun to meet local people who are also into cars. Sadly, I was mistaken. That forum is full of the most snarky little jerks I've ever met! They seem to compete with each other to see who can intimidate the noobies the most. I feel very unwelcome there, which is really a shame. I was so hoping to find a friends among a local group of car enthusiasts. That is not going to happen in that forum.

Why am I posting this here? Well, I now realize that I have become so used to hanging out in Camaro5 that I have started to take this community for granted. I shouldn't. This place is a true gem on the internet and I want to thank all of you for that. I also want to thank the moderators for keeping it that way. Bravo! I love you guys!

Aww!

Thank you very much, Emma & Becky!

We try real hard to keep this place the way it is...we catch some flack for it at times, but posts like these reassure us it's worth it.

Thanks for enjoying the site, and putting things into perspective!

At first I thought you were saying that you're quitting C5.

I too, took Camaro5 for granted before I became a part of another car forum.

I use to get annoyed at how serious the mods took the organization of the forum. On the other forum, the moderators don't do crap about the organization of the forum, and it's really hard to find any useful info.

Which is why most of the time I have to go to C5 to look at a DYI to help install things on cars that aren't even Camaros.

Now I'm more than thankful that the mods take the organization seriously.

Well done guys!

Words can't describe what camaro5.com means to me. I just love it! I've met lots of great willing to help people on here. I've joined many car forums but I keep finding myself on here even though I no longer drive a camaro. I don't know what it is but c5.com just keeps pulling me back.

There does seem to be some BS on here as usual with any online site, I've been on here for a while and just signed up.. typical site if you ask me... admins and mods always determine how a site will go..seems like there is some favoratism that gets played no matter what site your on or who owns or runs it..... people are going to be people and when you can basically hide behind your keyboard you get some of the crap that happens from admins owners and users alike.... Its not a bad site IMO but anything can always be improved

There are a few bad apples in every barrel. But, for the most part, this site has a lot of great people on it.

I agree 100% with u about this forum. It's amazing. I was part of the Gixxer forum and everyone is an A-hole who bad mouths you and is no help at all.

There are some amazing minds on this who have taught me how to do things I wouldn't have even dreamed were possible. I went from never turning a wrench to tearing apart my exterior, interior, wiring and putting it all back together to be better.

I think the Camaro community is truly something else because the people here have a smile on their face whenever they think about their cars and they don't have the something to prove attitude. I'm willing to bet some guy in a civic feels the same way.

Two of the nicest modded Camaros in my state are V6 (one white one black). The Camaro makes great power in stock form, V6 and 8 compared to other cars (Domestic and foreign) I have driven em all.
