Besides Zora Duntov who at the same time was the other famous GM/Corvette race car driver in the 50's and early 60's ?
Clue: He is still living today, resides in Ct and designed Lime Rock race track.

He designed and manufactured hemi-type OHV conversion cylinder heads for the Flathead Ford V8...known as ARDUN. Today, they are the "holy grail" of Flathead V8 racer parts...worth $1,000s!

John Fitch, who also created the Fitch Sprint Corvair, several years ahead of the Yenko Stinger......

1967 = FOUR:

1) 302
2) 302 with Cowl Induction, a NASCAR-style air cleaner that connected to the inside of the firewall @ the cowl (base of the winshield)
3) 302 with Headers
4) 302 with C.I. and Headers

http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-h...let-Camaro.pdf ...Page 50 of the pdf...

The C.I. and Headers were supplied, but found in the trunk. 2 X 4s arrived in '68 after a rules change by SCCA. Those were shipped through Parts (too many "unattached" parts were "disappearing" during shipping...). The 2 X 4s were an LPO (like today's SEO), NOT RPO.

Correct. I met him at his home several years ago when he put in an insurance claim. (I'm an adjuster).
He has tons of Corvette material there plus his Phoenix Corvair.
He was also a ww2 fighter pilot- Shot down by the Germans and put in a prisioner of war camp.
He autographed a large Corvette poster for me which now hangs in my office.
If you want to see an amazing life, Google: John Fitch.
