There are a couple of CTS's around me that put the "V" on emblems on them... One is an older model (2007ish) and has one exhaust pipe so that means it is the slowest of all the CTS's at a 2.8 V6...

It drives me nuts.... Still remember back in the big tuner days when every Civic in town said "type R" on the back...

i dont know..i cant really get mad at the hondas and acuras for fake badging. unless it's from a different make car like hemi or r/t or ss. but the whole type r and si etc are all over different hondas and nobody around here has the motor that is supposed to be in their honda (even if its a downgrade lol). so some people have *integra si* around here and they are legitly an integra gsx with a civic si motor.

South of the border types love those stick-on ventaports. Used to be dingle balls and plastic organ pipes, bouncy-head chihuahuas, and giant bull stickers on your pickup doors.
Pep-Boys ventaports are the new gotta-have-it. Some people even manage to stick 'em on straight.

Same goes with Benz, they have AMG package, you get AMG bodykit, rims and badges , even if the car is not a real AMG

I tend to think it's the latter but its hard to tell without seeing the front - most people don't switch out the hood scoop and the HIDs.
That's a good point. I see this guy often. I'll take a closer look next time.

That's typically because they bought that car at said dealership after it was traded in. . .

btw, that does look like it might be a real sti in the pic. The sideskirts are not the wrx skirts and the BBS wheels are painted STi wheels. Look for the gold brembos. If it doesn't have brembos front and rear it's not an sti.

You realize there are probably more 69 Z/28's on the road today than were ever built!! Same with any SS cars. IMO, Not cool. A couple years ago I went to a large muscle car sales lot (wont name it) and plastered all over the windshield it said "Real deal z/28". I told the guy I've never seen a 69 Z/28 with a factory automatic. He said "yep, they built a few.Very rare".Nice... I also service a guys yellow Z06 convertable. really?? not......but hey, each to their own right?
