LOL .. your a tool if you think that any car maker hasn't gone through the same thing .. with all cars .. you have to pay to play ....

I don't see how they could legally do that though for the folks that have already bought the car ... doesn't make any sense!!

That is one thing I do like about the Zl1 ... they come out and show where they have beefed up the parts or add additional coolers etc ... the problem will be... once you get it on a track .. something breaks and you take it to the dealer .. will they back it up or claim abuse and your warranty goes by by ..

Yeah I get what your saying that anyone can bump up the power on the cars. But from a stock for stock stand point Chevrolet is winning for now. This game between Chevy & Ford will always be going back and forth between the two. Really this gen isnt even a real competition since the Camaro just came out again and Ford already had the 5th Gen Mustang out for a while to improve it. The next gen is going to be the best since both cars will be lighter and closer in size and power and Chevrolet will have had more development time on the Camaro. Really if you want you can say Chevrolet is always winning since Ford cant touch the Corvette really.

+1. Winning is when an actual PRODUCTION ZL1 takes on ANY Mustang and wins. Otherwise you are just blowing smoke.

You do realize you are reaching right? "Future" ZL1 and Z28 and Corvette? Where are they? You do realize the "future" VW Beetle will have red dots and gold tires right? Listen, I am all for any american company to be successful. I just don't understand this blind narrow-minded opinion some people have about certain products vs. others. I found some info that the new 2013 GT500 with the 5.8L ran a 7:35 ring time, but it wasn't officially announced. Someone on a different site was there the day all of these cars were testing, and recorded the runs, etc.

It's completely fanboyish if you totally dismiss All Mustangs, and compare a near 100K Vette to a 40-60K Mustang/GT500.

if up to me, Ford doesn't need a 5.8 FI'd GT500 to go head to head with the ZL1. Put the current GT500's 5.4 in a Boss Laguna Seca and it'll be awesome.
