One of my biggest issues with mmo's is the nerdy carebear crybabies who complain until the devs change the game.
I understand balance issues but so many games get ruined to please the masses.

If SWtoR not only has a pvp server, but a more brutal version of the game, I'll definitely play.

I actually can't wait to play Diablo 3. I think that's more my speed. Brutal...
If the game is goin to be gear based, there should be a chance to lose that gear.

When are most of you guys and gals online? Seeing that the guild is based on the east coast, I'll be getting home as you all are going to bed.

Still not out yet. Tons of Beta invites have gone out, but I have yet to receive one. There are 2 members in the guild that are in Beta and love it. They say its nothing like WoW and not a WoW 2.0. Its very story based and not a grind fest. They also love the PvP. Battles are not quick like 1 shot WoW. PvP takes skill and lasts quite a bit longer.

As far as time online? We havent set up raid schedules yet, but probably looking at starting 8-9pm EST when its out. Most of our member are from Texas on West. There are only a handful of EST guys. But 8-9 EST is like 5-6 PST. So if you work later, you might be right about some of us sleeping :P.

I've been playing the beta for about a week now. I'm really enjoying it so far. Can't wait for the game to release so I can play with my guildmates.

I've only stuck with 1 mmo for longer than 6 months. The rest, I get bored/annoyed/frustrated with. Or I just don't have the time to play 5 hours a day.

Hopefully SWtoR is more about skill than gear.

are any of you who are playing it right now playing it solo? or do you have to team up with people? that is my biggest thing I want to solo this game 100% but all these MMOs seem like they are set up for team playing. are there things to do besides just combat and grinding levels? can you just ignore the main story stuff and do side quests, etc...? I wish Bioware would just make KOTOR 3 and not this game....

Your entire Class quest line....all 200 hours of it can be done solo. Each of the 8 classes has 200 hours worth of material. So you can do 1,600 hours of solo play without ever grouping with anyone.

But if you want the best gear and stuff on the server you will need to either PVP or run Flashpoints/Operations with groups.

oh perfect!! thanks for that help. anyone have a favorite class yet? I still think the Bounty Hunter would be great to play. Jedi are always fun but kind of played out a bit maybe....

4th quarter this year. They have not released anything more specific. There is some speculation that it could possibly be Oct or early nov due to beta weekends are this month.

However thats just speculation.

Yeah, so far they've only done one beta weekend this month and suddenly stopped them without saying why. Speculation is something either crashed or came up that they didn't expect and they need to fix whatever happened before continuing with beta. So at worst it may come out early next year, but I'm still hoping it'll be out holiday season.
