MY son is an E1 in the air force. lol He just finished the first section of Meps. & is on his way home. Now we just have to get him to Gradute high school. & in to bootcamp

I'm confused. He's an E1 in the Air Force before graduating high school or going through boot camp? I'm thinking you mean he's enlisted and in the delayed entry program awaiting his ship date. If that's the case, he's not technically an E1 yet until he becomes an Airman upon graduating boot camp.
It may be different for the Air Force, but when I enlisted in the Marine Corps, my contract said E1, but that is upon earning the title Marine. If I didn't graduate from recruit training for any reason, I was never officially a Marine and therefore not an E1. Forgive me if I'm wrong, just curious. Joe

Okay, so he's a poolee in the DEP program. So he's not actually an E1 yet. He won't be getting paid until he begins boot camp and won't be an E1 until he finishes.
From a fellow military man, I appreciate his future service to his country, this country needs more people like him!
