No electronics will be, "intuitive" when 40+ are buying cars. A tv remote is too complex for many, unfortunately.

the article notes that BMW also got knocked in 2006 because of the iDrive system. I guess all new systems take some time to get used to. I'm glad they keep adding features to cars because if they didn't we'd still be driving cars without air conditioning, radios, bluetooth, or many other features that we love today.

But seriously, think of the complexity of setting up bluetooth compared to turning on an air conditioner. But we all love it now because we understand how it works!

I'm not trying to defend Ford specifically. But trust me, the system is easy to use. There's just a ton of features such as navigation, sattelite radio, bluetooth, climate controls, dvd player, etc etc

Sure it's going to take awhile to learn how to use all of it, but it is not at all hard to use the important features such as climate controls. There are even physical buttons for that so if you hate using a touch screen, you can use buttons!

Eventually, you'll walk up to your car, put your hand on a print reader, the door will open, and you'll get in and say start. As much as I love high tech, at some point it gets to be overwhelming. Maybe that's why I still like '65 GTOs? That sync system is cool though. Ford seems to do some good stuff lately, but I'm with you. They still make an ugly Mustang!

I keep telling people until you give me KITT, otherwise you will simply risk confusing people, at least some people.

You need voice recognition and AI.

Until you can ask your in the same manner you would ask a co pilot with a computer and internet connection for directions, music, baseball scores............you'll have some type of user interface problems.

So give me KITT or I'll change my own radio station with the tools the good Lord gave me.

Just have to work on the Turbo Boost jumping car thing Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder how that would come out in JD Power and Consumer Reports? Hey David Champion? How would you rate Turbo Boost?

well.... If the 2012 movie was true, bentleys already are voice controlled (at least to start)

And there are a lot of cars out there whose doors open when you touch the handle, as long as the key is near the car.

So you can check that off your list!

Didn't think I needed Sync until I got it. I use it every time I get in the car.

Ford's quality rating is getting killed by the Sync. Numerous complaints, probably from people whose Betamax's are still blinking 12:00.
