Met with Scott Settlemire a few weeks ago during the San Jose's Main Street in Motion event.

He clearly stated that the Stingray concept (also featured in Transformers 2) will not see the light of the day. The car is very low, and will not pass safety standards. The doors itself require 2 parking spaces to open as well.

The good news though, the next generation Corvette does have some design features from it. In fact he used the words "aggressive design"... cannot wait to see it!

This is the kind of language they always use to try and throw people off of future plans. Of course the concept car won't be mass produced, concept cars are made to catch peoples attention not be functional. They function as inspiration for the designers and engineers if the public responds positively to it.

That body kit is horrible...... Ironically I see more C3 in the concept than C2. Considering the early C3 body style is my favorite Vette body that is a good in my book.

I love the tail lights and how the split rear window harkens back to the 1963 Stingray. I'd love one!

agreed, they can easily raise it a little, and make those doors like normal ... I think they may bring the stingray back for a limited edition perhaps?
