Summons for Jury Duty (Federal)....HELP!
I got a summons for Federal District Court Jury Duty today. I normally don't mind jury duty too much but it's for the entire months of May and June, and we already have a family vacation planned for the middle of June. Vacation time approved off for both my wife and I, and it's really the only chance we'll get all summer with our boys. Any suggestions on how to get out of it or at least for that week?

Make your self undeseriable, down with the establishment dirty t-shirt, potleaf hat, flipflops, don't bathe for a few days, love beads.... Or take that into a number of other direction. can you vomit at will???

Just comment to others that you don't need to hear the case because the defendent is gulity. Make sure your bias gets back to the defense lawyer.

Talk to your work and see if your employer will be paying you during those 2 months at jury duty. If not, then I'd say you have a legit excuse to get out of it: Can't pay bills unless you work, can't work if you have to be at jury duty!

yes, just go in with the attitude everyone should get "the chair". Defense lawyers will be pretty sure YOU ARE NOT on the jury.

On the jury summons form one of the questions is:
Do you speak, read and write the English language? Since when does that matter? |

When you go in start yelling tits, tell 'em you have Coprolalia (the spontaneous utterance of socially objectionable or taboo words or phrases) is the most publicized symptom of Tourette's. Pretty sure that'll get you out of it
