Jeep wranglers are tanks! they will get through anything and the inline 6 motors are indestructable. very reliable vehicle. was my first car as well..he wont be disappointed. I drive a wrangler in the winter when the camaro is tucked away. i love it

Thanks its my Dads, he almost traded it in for a new one the other day at the dealership. It was that new beige color with black wheels and a lift. The 2012 models are supposed to get some more power, which they need, so he will probably get another one then.

My brother has a 97 with 170k on it. It is his daily driver, and has failed less than his fiancee's 2006 h3 hummer. It is a pretty decent driver.

My girlfriend has one. I love it, but considering you're from New York, getting the soft and hard top would definitely be worth it. I wish the steering was a bit tighter. I spin and spin the wheel and it feels like it's not turning haha. (Maybe that's because my daily driver is the camaro)

Wrangler = great secondary vehicle
Not great primary vehicle
Not great first car for a teenager

I loved mine, but I'll never own another one unless I have a different primary vehicle. Even a brand new one with leather and a navigation system is not a great primary vehicle. They don't handle like a normal car. Believe it or not, they are one of the worst vehicles to drive on ice. The suspension and noise wear on you constantly. And so on and so forth..........

But, they are cool and a lot of fun on the weekends, especially in the summer with the top open and the doors off!

The new jeeps are wonderful! I honestly think because of my way of living and I mean I travel back and forth places that I might get one see if some one would problay take over my payments. Don't get me wrong I love the camaro it's the best but for my life style it's not great. :/ the new 2011 rubicon is what I love too . By the way the safety is great but it's a little bit expensive I think 2 dor rubicon are like 34,500 or unlimited is 37,500 somewhere like that.

I'm partial to the previous generation. Like the others have said, a Jeep is perfect for most situations. Honestly, I'm not a fan of the v6 in the current Wrangler platform. I can't keep anything stock and the inline felt much better once a larger tire was added. The v6 just feels underpowered at times.

I've always wanted a Jeep, I do like the way they look. I knew when I got it ...it was a Jeep. It is not a interstate cruiser. Here is mine:

They're probably one of the most fun cars to drive in existence, however I wouldn't give one to a younger driver. The doors themselves have warnings on them that state they are ornamental and offer zero protection, so they don't do very well at all in side impacts. Plus, they're more prone to rolling, which inexperienced drivers can be more likely to do if they don't know the limits of their car.

As others have said, a Jeep is a great weekend ride, but isn't much of a daily driver.

I drive a jeep all winter and on rainy days

Camaro for nice days, Jeep for every other day. Great vehicles IMO.

Does this go for a new 2011 or just newer jeep wranglers? I have test driven one and the told me that the jeep is made out of some kind of steel thing I forgot but protects you great and if you where against another for sure you would win.
