I have met many many professional/successful people that wear vans and hollister, so I think your clothing selection should be based on what you are wanting to do for the rest of your life (which seems like this is what we are trying to figure out).

I am 25 years old, own my own business and financially am in a better spot than the majority of the people around me. Money is important to me and, to me, is my way to measure my success along with other things. There are a lot of people out there that money is not important to them. Figure out what is important to you. When I was in your spot I had to answer the following things to myself:
just to clarify, in today's world, Vans and Hollister will make you look like an idiot.. either a 40+ year old salesman trying to revive his youth, or Justin Bieber... you want to be a refugee from the 60s, go right ahead, but nobody's gonna take you seriously... im 26 and own a business, how i look is important to potential customers, Steve Maddens and 7 Diamond shirts tell people i have taste and want to stay professional even when im not at work... not saying it's the best out there, but its what i can afford..

from what i skimmed over, people here are traditional and rarely will change.. OP needs to figure out what he wants to do, write it down, and stick to it.. i personally brought it before God and he gave me all the answer's... they weren't all yeses and some were real tough to walk in faith for, but i have never seen the righteous forsaken or begging for bread...

As I said. I think clothing should be job specific. If your work calls for your kind of dress than so be it. Yet, someone's clothing is not going to keep them from being successful. There is a time and a place to wear certain things.

Keep in mind I am 21, not 40, and in College. I dress with according to my personality, how I feel you should dress in a social arena. Now in a workplace, that is different, I obviously will not wear Vans and Hollister to my job interview.

I tell you what, after your next post (so i know you read this one) I'll delete all my "offensive" posts. sound good?
Because I dont think you fully know what puberty is if you are accusing me of being a "late bloomer" of it.
