Thought this was worth sharing...

Hello Everyone,

Though not for the faint of heart, this Australian Television Ad does a tremendous job of driving home the point about reckless driving/ DUI this holiday season. Please pass on to anyone you think may benefit from it.

Great Aussie Ad Campaign!

This needs to be passed around to everyone who has the keys to a vehicle. This is perhaps one of the most intense commercials that I've ever seen and well made.

I think that Australia should be complimented on having the guts to "tell it like it is" and get this campaign out to all of its licensed drivers and to air it on TV...it is very moving and very life like. It has a very strong impact.

Damn! that's intense. Makes me want to have a drink, sit at home and never drive again. I aways thought that song was about taking your own life and not someone else's though.

Seriously I need a drink after watching that! I want to hug my family and my Camaro and crawl into a ball. Powerful video. People really need to think before they drink. Plan to have a driver, stay overnight, or stop drinking early so you can sober up.

THAT WAS GREAT.......thanks for posting it......could be that it will make at least one person think. I have been touched by that very thing....I havea very dear friend that will never see or talk to her teenage daughter again, because of the bad choices that were made, sorry about that....it just brings up a lot of emotions of this subject. I just wish more peopkle would get the message.

I think messages like this are needed to shock people into knowing how bad drinking and driving are.

I've posted this before, but my girlfriend in high school was killed by a drunk driver. She was hit on her bicycle on a country road, and knocked into a ditch to die overnight because the person never stopped.

I post the following picture sometimes, and though graphic...also shows the violence and stupidity of drunk drivers and how they effect other peoples lives.

Man that was intense and great at the same time!!!! Makes me think of what could have been as I have gone through a DWI myself. Fortunately I was extremely lucky in that I got pulled over before I had a chance to hurt anyone or myself. It certainly is not an experience I would ever want anyone to go through as it is sucks (drinking and driving is no bueno).

Fortunately it was one of the best experiences for me and it made a huge impact on me. In the end all turned out for the better. While my own issue happen a while ago, I decided to make a conscientious effort to stop drinking and today is my 90th day of sobriety!!! That video is a nice reminder to keep on going! Thank you for posting.
Cheers
K

Well, I guess most of us if not all have had our lives affected by DUI at some point. Personally, I think I had 3 or 4 friends who were killed in high school or college while drunk driving or killed by a drunk driver in an accident. I hope at least one person out there may think of it while partying over the Holidays and decide to stay over for the night, call for a ride, or used a designated driver. I guess then it will have been worth posting. Happy Holidays to my C5 family. Take care and be carefull out there.

You can drink without the threat of killing someone. You just don't drive when you do.

Posted on here several times before, and I watch the whole thing every time.

I'm very fotunate to have never been affected by a DUI. Indirectly or directly. And I hope to never.
