one thing I would say is if you go on the challenger forums it seems like the problems they have with their cars are rampant. I think they had a recall of one of the cars catching fire.

read my post about infineon.....i think we will see CONSISTENT 112mph traps (with some higher and some a lil lower) out of the new SRT8 since it puts down 60rwhp more than the previous.

vettes are not often cross shopped with the camaro/mustang/challenger

You are not taking into consideration all the features the SRT has standard, some not evenavailable on SS period. yes, if they deconted it, 35k would be alright, but it is a halo car so that will not happen.

So who car was this? Is it a test car or does someone own it? I didn't think they were out yet. I could see the factory tester having a little more going on under the hood just to get things stirred up.

the same can be said for here, just remembr you'll see more people bitching about issues that have them, while the ones without issues don't post they are having no issues.

And we don't have problems with our camaros? Do you read this forum? I could write a book.

MSRP for a loaded camaro and mustang is in the 40k range, thats just below the msrp for a new SRT8 Challenger that already comes fully loaded. If a car isnt good enough to hold its value and sell for msrp, we penalize the one that does hold its value???????
+1 again

Dodge says only 1350.00 or so more than last year.

Horse power wars are back and dodge is hinting at the barracuda. Oh yeah. Did I read some where the challenger is getting a 8 speed manual transmision?

The camaro really needs a factory gear option. 4.10's just wake the car up. With out it a stock camaro will have hard time against its competition.

I shoped around before I bought my SS the first car I looked at was the SRT8 and base price no extras the car was 41,995 before tax so here in Cali it would be 46,000 out the door after tax... I paid 38k after taxes
for my 2SS a big difference especially before the CI & HP increases...
