To me, MRT and flowmaster seem to be separating from the pack.
Of course i am partial to MRTv2, but American Thunder got lots of looks and listens from me...i would not be too upset if i went with AMT. Corsa was ok, SOLO is also good. Not really a bad one in the bunch...and thats a good thing because i dont care what anyone says, the stock exhaust was revoltingly bad and wimpy.... |

thnx for all the comments so far guys. looks like mrt v2 is on top of the polls right now. im also concerned about price however. im not rly willing to spend more than $500 for exhaust. so if you guys can throw out some price points here that would be cool too.
mrt v2 was my personal favorite and it fits my price range.

Well, with that qualifier, then take Corsa and MBRP off your list too. Both of those are well over $500. Same with SOLO.

Is the Flowmaster Super 44 and American Thunder the same exhaust?..If not..The poll should include the American Thunder system or just say Flowmaster..

I have to go with Flowmaster as well. I have it and love it! No drone, or rasp, just a solid sounding exhaust and for the money, as I'm sure you're not getting a kick back from MRT or anything like that, you can get the Flowmaster delivered to your door for under $450. I got mine for $332 from Autoanything.com I can't speak on the Flowmaster Super 44's but when you say Flowmaster around here, most everyone is talking American Thunder. If you want to spend more for virtually the same, you can step away from Flowmaster and while you're throwing money away, send some this way so I can get me a couple more mods.

Hey guys.. Great comments. I appreciate those that explain the why and why not's of your particular favorite.
Not to thread crash, but same topic. I, too am looking at exhaust for my 2SS/RS M6 and wanted to keep it under $1k (Merry Christmas to me). I've listened to the Youtube stuff and don't think any of them are a clear representation of the true sound. I love the growl of my V8, I'm just looking for a little more ummph. Just a little, I don't want anything screaming or rattling. I want quiet comfort in the cabin. The only performance mod I've done is add a CAI Inc., CAI. If you prefer, PM as to not jack the thread... I trust you guys, after all, we're family. Thankx, Lori |
