Looks like the Ford Guys got jipped on that one. haha, Bone stock 2011 grey with no stripes or GT500 stripes, Was running 11.8-12.0 @ 119-121 last week. Those good year supercar's G2's are really cool tires in person. The guy in the GT500 didn't even take the plastic off of his nav yet.

That is how you drive a car.
I'm not doubting his ability, but everyone uses these professionals as a benchmark when very few in the community comes close.

Not gonna lie. I'm a GM guy but the GT500 looks MUCH better than the CTS-V. Between these 2 cars, I'd take the GT500. OK, ban me now!

but people usually argue how fast their car is, not how fast they can actually drive it. so what better way to determine how fast a car actually is than to use a professionals time.

Trust me I definitely don't think of his times as the average by far. Just more or less like to see him run the cars to see what they are capable of.

Evan hasnt been setting any records since he moved from the NY area to hot and sticky Florida. I'm hoping he can run 10.9x at atco or e town in the cool fall air on some short DR's like my 275/50/15's Hoosier (1.5" shorter then his tires from his 11.5 run in the 3.55 geared 2010) and short stock 3.73 gears, and 120 less weight and 10 more ponies but that probably wont happen unless he moves back to the home of all his record setting runs.

I could live with 11.2 like he got in the 2010 4.6L Roush Stage 3
or 10's with a tune sounds good in conversations

But it speaks to the POTENTIAL of the car even though most can never attain it.
So, when people argue, they use the potential of the car as the basis of thier arguement rather than what they can actually do. Internet racing at it's finest.

So the 12.3 at 116.6 indicates a good driver in the CTS? Can't just cherry pick the info you like. Your argument goes both ways in this race.

For sure the Caddy should have made a better run. A little different than the GT500, as the Caddy was an automatic.

Either way 118.9 mph shows more et potential than 116.6mph.

BTW: To the OP - Thank you for not being a Ford Fanboy in your post..you presented the facts and that was it. A LOT of people on ALL forums could learn from the original post!

Maybe, but sometimes the mph can be misleading due to wheel spin. If it was a true mph then I agree.

2010 Roush Stage 3 went 11.57 @ 124.78 mph in stock form.
