Inferno Orange Metallic (IOM) Camaro SS/RS anyone?! (pics) - Page 12 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I was at Hilton Head Sunday and saw this car. It is a dark orange(to me).
it was parked next to a red G8 GT and I'd still call the Camaro a dark orange.
But in the pics i took it looks red. About as red as the red G8 GT next to it.
it's significantly darker than a Hugger Orange.
i just bought a new computer tonight and don't have Nikon picture project loaded on it yet but I will post some up by tomorrow.

And where did this car come from? never seen it before and the windows were tinted so dark that you couldn't see the interior I guess because it wasn't ready for prime time.
But the body was metal because I tapped on it. it needed a slight amount of work on the door fit going into the rear quarter.

The car is really over the top looking. hard to believe they are actually going to build it.

if you look at the last pic you can see that it looks slightly more orange than the G8 behind it.

Great pics...I can see the difference...the IOM looks much darker....I think when it's in the sun it looks more reddish?

The difference between the two days was really the weather. Saturday (the day my pictures were taken) was really bright, which seemed to make the IOM appear red-orange. Maybe even more than it actually is.

I love this color so much, I have changed my order of victory Red to IOM.

question? When I ordered my car the dealer said the chevy vette "orange" was the same color that was going on the camaro. is this true......

Sounds like your dealer is feeding you a line. Paint code is shared with the solstice however, maybe he got confused since they're both 2 seaters

Unless corvette is getting this color next year

The only orange I have seen on a Vette is Atomic Orange....someone correct me if I am wrong here....the Camaro will be Inferno Orange, and I have never seen a Vette that color....I think your dealer is confused?

No, the orange dash lights are part of the (W1H) Inferno Orange Interior Accent Trim Package. That package is only available on the 2LT or 2SS with any color exterior except IBM, ABM, RJTC, and Rally Yellow.

i wish the inferno orange interior was more orange like you see in videos instead of a more reddish color. and a more of an orange exterior woulda been pretty cool too.but,its still nice even if its painted clear
