I don't know ask a mustang guy...besides if you are comparing a Camaro SS with a Mustang it shouldn't be a GT500 anyway...

Lol ok. I just assumed you meant that the Supercharger for the GT500 is a dealer option.

Yes it is part of what they call the Super Pack. You can go to a Ford dealer that offers the package and have them install it. It does not void your warranty and after the Super Pack is installed they rate the GT500 at 660hp.

LOL I am trying to be objective and see it not as a Camaro owner but actually from what someone that is not set on either car would look at...
In other words, as if I have never owned either car and just want one I can either buy off the lot or order and have it delivered just the way I want without needing to do mods to it.. in other words which would give me the most "Bang for the Buck"

Now that being said and you see I have a V6 Camaro, that All out performance is not my main concern.. It all comes down to for me which car I liked better, which I wouls like to look out my picture window and see sitting in my driveway. which one I felt would perform just as I want and need and look good doing it and the Camaro wins hands down in that instance...

bang for the buck wise I would call the Camaro and Mustang dead even. Comes down to what you prefer looks, style, and engine wise.

In the end it will likely come down to the driver anyway.

Weak sauce.....

(Speaking for myself) Look at my profile...I own a 2010 Mustang GT. I am not a "fanboy" as you call it. I take an objective look at the comparison. I think both are great cars.

And I wasn't calling you a fanboy... but the direction of the whole thread took a hard right towards fanboy town.

I understand your point of view, that it SHOULD be an apples to apples comparison when it comes to ratios etc. But in the same respect you can't knock the mustangs braking an acceleration without adding in the brembo package with the 19inch wheels and summer tires which people seem to ignore, including your original response to my point about the 3.73 gears.

My feeling is in the end if you can drive off the lot with it thats what its got, and the Camaro doesn't have that rear, the Mustang does.

True. GM needs to make rear gears (some kind of track pack in general, really) available for the camaro, both V6 and V8. At least, in my opinion.
