Oooh I know this one. The GTO has a 55/45 distribution. It was known for being a tail happy car...

The Challenger's stability control will be working overtime.

I think I'm having a Jeremy Clarkson type of epiphany here. The Challenger is not meant to have any real use at all beyond looking cool. Especially with 600hp from a 8.4 liter V10.

And just to clarify, pushrod engines weigh a lot less than DOHC engines and are also more efficient to package. The 4 liter V8 in the new M3 weighs 445 pounds. The 6 liter V8 in my GTO weighs 430 pounds. 2 liters of displacement equals a weight gain of -15 pounds. More importantly a gain of 105 lbft of torque.

Hmm, I think this is an end to the debate over whether or not the Challenger is a pig.

wasn't that pig-like snout the thing that made the HEMI-CUDA so Bad-ass??
I wouldn't say the Challenger is Dull... Just big and heavy...
As too LS7 Swaps man that would be so silly... I've seen a Pontiac Solstice with an LS7 swap... Can you imagine??? That beast under such a light car... It's like the Old Shelby Cobras of old...

Haha, Dodge finally figured out that their SRT8 wont beat an SS so they had to stuff a Viper V10 in there, sounds like an invatation for a Z28

It didn't look piglike on the Cuda. Not to me at least. And yes, the LS7 in the solstice is the closest thing to a modern Shelby Cobra, despite what Mr Shelby and Dodge attempted with the Viper.
