Read an article in game informer on this game, it sounds like Rockstar is about to hit another one out of the park!

Coolest info I picked up while reading the article: They developed a system that actually FILMS the actors they use and transfers that directly into a 3d character in the game! So there aren't any character artists etc creating these on the computer, they just film and BAM there's the character!

Also, for those at work and not able to get the link/view the vid (like me) here's the basic overview:

L.A Noire is an interactive detective story set in the classic noir period of the late 1940's.

L.A. Noire blends action, detection and complex storytelling and draws players into an open-ended challenge to solve a series of gruesome murders. Set in a perfectly recreated Los Angeles before freeways, with a post-war backdrop of corruption, drugs and jazz, L.A. Noire will truly blend cinema and gaming.

Another interesting note: For all the 1940s era vehicles, they photographed vehicles from Jay Leno's collection I so envy the guys that got THAT job!!

Not sure, I haven't seen the movie. Quickly reading over the plot on Wiki it sounds like it could be similar. They've said the game will have one of THE largest game worlds that has been created.

Damn. I hope that it comes out for PC, and I hope that they do a decent job porting it to PC, unlike GTA4.
