Yes, the muffler internals were revised slightly for the 2017 ZL1. I'm not sure if GM changed it any further with the 2019 refresh or afterwards.

I chose to switch because I liked the tips and figured that muffler was designed to flow better since its from a zl1. The tone to me is a little more aggressive and raspy compared to the ss muffler.

So the vibrants were too big where I was looking to put them so I switched to dynomax race bullets. Either way I got the sound I wanted and the placement was awesome they look factory. If you scrollback though the link you can see the fitment pictures.
