Anyone can ask AI to generate images like that, some even go as far as to render their own designs and people take them believing they’re the new thing.

Just like the good old ‘mid-engine’ Camaro that still to this day floats up (the orange one someone just slapped a Camaro front bumper to C8 body)

The whole site has been live for what? 12 hours? And considering other than the announcement, we really know nothing. So of course the site will be slammed with info...

I agree, if you do NOT have the HD Rear View Mirror Camera, then visibility IS an issue, but for a few hundred dollars, install the camera on ALL models and the issue completely goes away...

Well this changes my plans. I was looking to get a 16-18 Hyperblue, but if this turns out to be true then maybe I'll get this 28. I think I'm going to hold off buying anything this year. See what happens. "IF" this is true and it's a good design the inflated prices of the 6th gen will drop.

Hopefully you're right about that.

So what do you guys thing happens to the prices of our cars?
7th gen 4 door and ours hold value?
7th gen hatch and ours holds?
7th gen coupe and most of ours become "victims of theft"?

Agreed with other posters here--I can't see them making a Camaro sedan, when both Buick and Cadillac are (apparently) getting sedans on the Alpha 2 platform.

I could maybe see them going the Dodge Charger route where both a 2 door and 4 door Camaro is offered.

They even say this with the new Gas Sixpack Charger and it has AWD and its just a massive car with a hatch with good room for putting stuff in and basically fit a body.

The ugly truth is people only care about 'performance' when it comes to straight line speed. So as long as the new Camaro is faster than the old one, then nobody will care.

GM made the best performing pony car, and the worst sales pony car. It was terrible as a daily coupe compared to the competition. If they want the new car to sell they have to make some compromises. Better visibility, better trunk opening, a more affordable V8 option (i.e. give us an LT1 model from the beginning) need to be on the table.

Looking forward to final product if they meet those 3 requirements. Top tier will be $100000 plus.
I've been wondering how they will price a new Camaro and to see that $100k figure is kind of alarming. Not saying you're wrong as the potential content for a 7th gen ZL1 could be worth that much. But where will pricing start and how much to get into a V8 are key considerations for me. I'm just hoping gm doesn't price this out of reach for its traditional (middle class) customer base.

As for the name being a applied to anything but a two door I think we might see the Camaro offered as a coupe and sedan. I'm pretty confident we'll see a manual option.

I thought about it too, but I'm always wary of buying a first model year, just never know.

I'm wondering if this car will meet all my personal requirements anyway, which are manual, V8, and coupe. I won't buy a V8 without a manual, and I won't buy a manual unless it's a V8. I'm not against sedans, I was a G8/Chevy SS fan, but Camaro should stay coupe IMO.

Plus, I'd rather not get into another payment, this one is almost done.

I think it's going to be a coupe. I'm waiting to see what motor they put in it and what price tag they put on it. Then of course what it looks like. I'm excited to see... I'll admit that.

The 2024 SS base model started at around $44k. Since then, prices across the board of all vehicles have went up $4-$5k. So if it released today, imo it would start around $48-$49k. Given that prices will rise again, I can see the base model SS starting at $51-$52k with the top trim SS Being about $5k more. The ZL1 or the equivalent would be about $10k more than that.

Another way to look at it is that the Camaro has always been more than the Mustang so you could also look at what the equivalent trim Mustang costs and add $2-$4k.

I'll say well taken care of, decent mile Gen6's will hold well. There's no way that GM is coming back with what a Camaro is SUPPOSED to be(2 door, RWD, coupe/vert, V6/V8, M6/A10) IF SO, then they were STUPID to kill it off in the first place
..plus with AL gone now, absolutely no way....they will be making this Gen7 "Camaro" an abomination of sorts by having SOME type of combination of: 4 doors, Hybrid, AWD, Crossover SUV, etc...so basically everything a Camaro IS NOT!.
I'll keep my 6th gen ZL1 until I'm in the ground because I have ZERO faith in GM making another one like it SHOULD be.
