no sound AT ALL

Hi everyone, started car in the morning no sound. Lost everything, radio, blue tooth, directional, rear proximity, on-star. It happen before where I would lose sound from the directional but restarting the car would fix it. Pulled the battery, checked fuses F29, F45. This is 2016 2SS, there is an aftermarket amp in the trunk that previous owner installed. The original BOSE is still there. It almost feels like something needs to be reset / restarted. Any help is appreciated.

thx

Possibly a MOST50 communication issue? Maybe make sure the terminating resistor is still present? Connects to X4-8/16 of the Bose amp blue/green & white/green wires.

Do you have displays but no sound?
If so, then you are relying on the aftermarket setup to provide the sound output. I would go over that thoroughly.

What it "feels like" to me is an intermittent electrical issue with the aftermarket setup.

I'm not sure it's only a MOST issue. I suspect a CAN, as well. The fact that there are no turn signal or rear collision sensors points to CAN. The Bose amplifier internally generates the chimes from instructions over the CAN bus.

I'd hook up a OBD11 computer and read back the stored DTCs. It will point you in the right direction.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Display is totally fine and responsive. Sound is completely gone. So if turn signals and proximity sensor sounds are generated by Bose, looks like I have a problem downstream of Bose wit the aftermarket setup. Assuming audio is not over CAN?

I am in the northeast it has been fairly cold for the past week or so to mess around with it, don't want to lose my fingers. But I will see if I could get any codes this weekend and report back.

Thank you for your help.

Audio is over the MOST bus. The CAN connection is for control and diagnostics. OBD11 will tell you the most(not MOST) information, right now.

I’m having similar issues in my 2016 2SS Only driver side door speaker working also no turn signal or rear parking sensor sounds. Wondering if anyone else has came across this issue and know how to fix?

Hello,
I own a 2019 1ss 1LE and my driver door speaker stopped working, The turn signal and my belt chime also don't sound. Everything else works perfectly fine. I bought this car used with the aftermarket audio system removed, I can tell because a lot of the wiring was left behind. I tried to replace the speaker with another oem but nothing happened, it just stayed dead. I'm kinda lost where to start.
