I have not been able to find much info on this issue in the forums or on YouTube so I thought I would at least post my findings thus far since I am in the middle of dealing with this....

My passenger side slider has been broken for years and I finally decided to look into what it takes to fix it. I will spare you the details of my long drawn out process of the dealership supposedly fixing it back in the day and then finding out when I went to repair it myself that I had to break the old part to get it out and then the new part had an extra clip that did not fit my car, etc. Lol

Here are the pertinent details for anyone looking to do this themselves...

From the TSB:
"Note: For vehicles built prior to February 14, 2017, it
will also be necessary to replace the window regulator
in addition to the quarter upper trim panel to
accommodate the added 3rd clip design."

More in-depth video of a guy replacing his. He had a 2017 so he had all 3 slots.


Another guy that replaced his and also has all 3 slots.


Options as I see it for how to install this new part into my old AF 6th gen 2016 Camaro since my car does not have a slot for the new 3rd clip.
1. Drill a new slot in my existing Quarter Window Regulator Bracket that will line up with the extra clip on the new part.
2. Cut off the 3rd clip from the new part.
3. Buy and install the newly designed Quarter Window Regulator so that the newly designed Quarter Upper Trim Panel will fit as intended.

I would be curious if anyone else has attempted just drilling a 3rd slot in their old 2016 Window Regulator Bracket.

UPDATE: I actually found an old post where someone did the cutting a 3rd slot method.
