FOB Issues?

All,

How many of you have used a battery charger, maintainer or straight up charger?

I just started experiencing similar issues with my FOBs on my 2023 SS 1LE. Checked voltage in FOB batteries, they are full voltage.

Sometimes my car will not respond to the FOB (lock/unlock/pop trunk), minutes later it will. In the car, NO FOB DETECTED is displayed in the dash but the car will ALWAYS start without putting the FOB in the cup holder.

This all started for me after putting the car on a battery maintainer for the winter. I connected it under the hood at the jumper points, not directly at the battery terminals. Both cars are manual transmissions.
.
I previously had a 2018 2SS and placed a battery charger on it ONLY in the trunk of the car directly at the battery and never had FOB issues with that vehicle for 6 years. Any connection? I wonder...hopefully I won't get lost!

I had a problem like this. I first noticed it wouldn't respond to me trying to turn the car off, took about 3 presses and then it shut off. I went in the store i was at and came out to a "no key detected " message. I put the key in the rearward cup holder where the contact antenna is. Still didn't work. After a few mins it started and worked normal. I changed the fob battery for good measure. It happened again 3 more times. Then i found a tsb related to the remote control door lock reciver failing and causing this. So i replaced that and haven't had the problem again.

Interesting.

I noticed a similar delay when shutting off the car last fall.

Also got the no fob detected message too.

I use a maintainer, but for me, replacing the fob batteries fixed the problem.

Hoping when I take the car out this year it stays good.
