A focused effort is needed to keep a 900rwhp 1.7L cool, even for street use. Clearly we are still within the efficiency range of the 1.7L at 15psi... it's the bricks that are at the limit... which is why I wanted to "turn up the juice" so we could test our new "larger" supercharger bricks.... and BOY do they work!

I believe I am collecting more data from my car than any other 1.7L car, so I can say with confidence the bricks are the final weak link. My original efforts to remove restriction, add volume and add efficiency to the supercharger cooling system all paid dividends, but we quickly made the bricks and the pump the weak link. Evidence by that even after removing all of the restrictions and getting back over 60% more flow... swapping the larger bricks still picked up another 12.5% in GPM coolant flow. We are now moving 800% more fluid nearly 90% faster... and I still think a faster flowing pump will help at WOT.

Additional testing will tell the story on if the blower is now the weak link. I'd like to upgrade to a 2" header, (no cats) test a 112mm TB and a larger JLT intake to see if removing restrictions on either side of the blower will make additional gains while keeping all things equal.

Time will tell!

Cheers to going faster and staying cooler!

Ah okay. I understand better what you are trying to do. I guess my question now is, even if you go 112 TB, wouldn’t the opening at the blower itself still cause a restriction?

Yes sir, it still may. the 112mm TB and adapter will simply shorten the choke point. KONG is doing some testing for me now in there SC Dyno. Stay tuned for more on that.

Your flex fuel kit with DYME fittings looks awesome. May I ask you which fitting is it for HPFP? 120 or 150 degree AN6?

Sounds good. Can't wait to see the results.

I still have my 1.7L sitting in my basement. Would be great if I could throw it on something and not let it go to waste.

I agree... they are bad-ass little blowers! Maybe save it for a rainy day

Thank you! That's a 150 degree.
Love these because you no longer need an adapter for the OEM connections!

Hey Gabe,
Have you ever mocked up any ram-air panels for the oem crash bar version?

Hey buddy, unfortunately not... only made a few for the Gen.2 crash bar with and without the stage.1 oil cooler. The Stage.II oil cooler doesn't have enough room to support it. Photos below of the version I made for the Gen.2 crash bar.
