Update #1: Made a lot of progress this weekend. But OMG am I beat! Parachute Kit and Fire suppression kit are 100% installed (minus 2 brackets I'm going to make to hold the nozzles in the engine bay. Rear Seat Delete is installed once again and center console is in place but there is a wire harness connector I can't figure out where it goes. It's connected the the harness that's attached to the under side of the center console, so it must connect somewhere to the car under the console? But, I can find a connector or another wire to connected it too anywhere (I included a photo of it). I've had my console out at minimum 5 times in the past and don't remember this wire. I always remember 3 connectors. The wireless phone charger USB connector, the larger and smaller connectors located about the center of the trans/driveshaft tunnel. Maybe it's for an option my car doesn't have (But I don't think they do that) and therefore connects to nothing? In the photo the console is upside down and the view is looking into the under side.

Update: Is it possible, am I actually done with the projects I started 3 weeks ago and my ZL1 is all back together and ready to roll? YES and no! The only thing left is: The 5-point harnesses need installed, and I still have t o replace the suspension parts and put the new shocks on. But, it's time to drive a little bit before I do the suspension and shocks! Also, I will be ditching these heavy AZZ, big bulky heavy factory Recaro seats and get carbon fiber ones. I just want to make sure the adjustment options will still be available in some fashion and I need to get the correct base. I'm not sure I'm overly thrilled I'll be giving up the heated and cooling seat feature, but hey, oh well!

Another Update: The 5-point Harness kits are installed… 3rd time is a charm! But seriously, what a nightmare. I’ve never installed harnesses before, and because of my lack of knowledge and experience. I ended up installing, removing and reinstalling the two front seats 3 different times.

There were ZERO instructions that came with the 5-point harness kits. The process was figure it out as I go and do it right, only after doing it wrong! Basically install, realize it’s not right, remove seats, fix what I did wrong and re-install, (3) times!

The kit came with (4) metal floor anchor plates (2 different styles and 2 of each style). I figured ok, the anchors must be for the center belt that comes up from under the seat that has the connector/release attached to it. I figure the lap belts must attached to the seat anchor bolts where the seatbelt attaches at the base. I attached the lap belts to each seatbelt holder/clip on each side of the seat. I assumed they included (4) metal floor anchors so I could use either style depending on my install (NOPE, not the case)!

I drilled holes for the metal floor anchor that gets installed under the seat. Passenger side was scary, I missed a trans line literally by like 1mm. Then I added the shoulder belts and one seat was done! Then I went to do the drivers seat and realized, crap I missed the fact that the roll cage has an anchor built in to it for the belts closest to the doors. So, the driver’s side I used the lower anchor on the cage for the lap belt closest to the doors and only used the seatbelt bolt for the lap belt closest to the center console.

I got it all install and thought yay, I can drive the car for a while before replacing the suspension with the BMR parts I got from Gabe of Griffin Motor Sports, and replacing the rear shocks. I was watching some YouTube grudge racing while cleaning up and putting tools away, and it hit me like a bolt of lightning. I was supposed to use all 4 metal anchors, one for under the seat, the center belt, and one for the lap belt closest to the center console and not use any bolts on the seat base!

So, I removed both seats again, installed the other 2 floor anchors, one for each seat, and reinstalled the seats. Lessons learned and WOW Instructions would be nice!!!!

I cannot believe that came with no instructions... thats pretty lame... hats off to you for getting it done, and getting it done well! toy are a stud for sure!

I absolutely love the fact that in this day and age, we can have perfectly drivable, mostly maintenance-free 1200-hp monsters just sitting in a parking garage because you decided to take it to the mall or wherever. Growing up I was sad that I missed the muscle car era in the late 60's and early 70's. Over the last 20 years or so, I am no longer sad about that. LOL!

It was a pretty cool! I got about 100 thumbs up, and while driving, several people videoed as I, or rather they drove by me. Pretty cool !
