Lt2 intake manifold
Hey everyone. So I installed the lt2 intake manifold on my Camaro today. When I went to connect the maf extension. On one side it clicked in right away. The other side it seems no matter how hard I tried to get it to click it just wouldn’t. Was wondering if anyone else had a similar issue and what did you do to fix it? I just pushed it down as far as I could and wrapped it with electrical tape. No check engine light came on so I believe it’s down enough to get a signal and it’s drives the same as the original intake manifold, but it still bothers me it not being connected all the way. Below is the extension I got which seems to be the one everyone recommends to get. Got it off of Amazon.

Yes, when I was doing my homie’s LT2 intake, his ITC billet wire extension was not clicking at all. I had no problem on mine, must of been a bad batch. I had to file down the little tab that locks in. I don’t have a picture to show you, but you don’t have to file down too much, only like less than 1/16th of an inch.

I had the same issue with my GPI extension. I ran a zip tie around the entire connector and though the tab. No issues, but for sure not ideal. I called GPI and they said they had never heard of this issue and didn’t have a solution….

Ive got to where i put dielectric grease on most every connector i take apart. It will lube the seal and let them slide together really smoothly. I don't know if thats the case with yours but it wouldn't hurt to try. |

Ive really been thinking about this as my next mod. But i wouldn't use a adapter harness. I would either refit the intake for the sensor to be on the normal side or lengthen the harness to fit the intake. More connections are more placed for failure to me.
