So I spent a good 4 hours today trying to get the jlt intake to work. This is what I've found out. So the first boxes they were selling wouldn't allow the hood to close. The new boxes allow the hood to close np. The problem starts with these brackets that lower the hood scoop. As far as I can tell, the new boxes will not work due to them being cut too low. They are cut for the hood extracted molding. The old boxes will work with alot of heating and bending. I got my box to fit perfectly untill I put the air filter in, which bent it back out, ughhh! So I have a slight gap, Im trying to find a new taller rubber gasket. It is called a push on style bulb gasket seal. They are typically around 1/2-3/4". I currently have a small gap, not pictured, and hoping to find some a bulb gasket seal that is 1 1/2" to help fill up the gap. Would anyone know a where to get this? I've emailed a few people, but still waiting to hear back! The JLT intake with the hoodbacoop brackets dilemma is almost finished! I would also like to say, even though JLT can't make it the way we want it, their customer service is great! They sent me an extra box to try and modify, even though it didnt work, it's the thought that counts!
